The resonant frequencies and amplifudes of the acfuator affecf the achievable storage capacity of hard disk drives to a hrge extent The current study investigates through both numerical simulations and experiments how the resonant amplihrdes of an achmtor may be redaced by anaching damping material to diJ@renf parts of the actuator.
