An evaluation of Universiti Teknologi MARA branch campuses websites towards acceptance among staff

Organizations websites have long been one of the important communication medium for relaying and providing information and interaction tool between staff, stakeholders and the organization. As such, this study is undertaken to evaluate Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) branch campuses website and acceptance among staff based on the following four attributes namely: user friendliness; informativeness; suitability, and attractiveness. The research was conducted to identify the staff acceptance on the criteria of good website and to analyze the difference of staff acceptance between branch campuses. Unsupervised survey questionnaires were distributed to staff in UiTM Pahang, UiTM Terengganu, UiTM Kedah and UiTM Johor for wider distribution and comparison. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics while independent t-test and ANOVA were performed to verify the findings statistically. The overall findings indicate that the evaluation on user friendliness and informativeness for all the campuses are in excellence acceptance level. As for suitability, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor yield good acceptance level while Kedah in average acceptance level. Terengganu, Pahang and Kedah were in excellence acceptance level for attractiveness whereas Johor is in good acceptance level. In general, Terengganu and Pahang produces excellence acceptance level for all attributes. The result reveal that there is a significant different in assessing informativeness between campuses and suitability between groups of working years.
