Abstract :
A multipath transport protocol, Multi-Path Loss-Tolerant (MPLOT) transport protocol, which can obtain high goodput and effectively utilize path diversity as well as aggregating bandwidth is proposed in this paper. In MPLOT, the congestion window can effectively adapt to the congestion of each path. Namely, we must set parameters of each path to avoid congestion. However, this congestion control scheme is easier to bring out more oscillatory action and send the system into instability. Therefore, we propose a fluid model of MPLOT and put some restrictions while setting parameters for intermediate nodes. The system can avoid congestion effectively as well as achieve fast convergence speed and guarantee the stability of MPLOT. Furthermore, our system can also improve the efficiency of data transmission and reduce the overall round trip time. The NS2 simulations verify the validity of the scheme we proposed.
