  • Abstract
    This paper presents the design and development of a computer algorithm program based on MatLab for designing impulse current generator circuits which are linear circuit. This algorithm program can help the test engineer for designing the components, resisters, inductors and capacitors to meet the waveforms according to IEC standard, or other waveforms which are in form of complex double exponential. The program uses numerical method, Secantpsilas Method, and normalized circuit techniques for calculating components of circuits, peak current, and time parameters on resistance and inductance plane (R-L plane). The test results show that the program proposed in this paper is practicable, and should be a useful tool for design of impulse current generator in a standard high voltage laboratory.
