Abstract :
The novelty of phase coding is to improve the compression performance of radar utilizing the excellent ambiguity function feature. In this paper, we propose the extended design of phase coding based on Doppler sensitivity concept in order to increase the tolerance of Doppler sensitivity of phase coding. The proposed method obtains the large tolerance of Doppler sensitivity through combining the advantage of phase coding and the advantage of linear frequency modulation signal(LFM). The performance of Doppler sensitivity with phase coding signal and the combined signal is analyzed in this paper. The simulation result shows that the extended design method enhances the Doppler sensitivity of phase coding signal in radar system application. In the last, we verified the validity of the proposed method through the comparison between phase coding and extended signal design.
