Abstract :
In the PSR(pressure - state - response) model framework, constructing ecological security evaluation system of the mining area, basing on artificial neural network model, selecting RS data of TM, SPOT-5, IKONOS as well as natural ecological environment data and socio-economic data, this study carried out the research on ecological security evaluation in Panxi mining concentrated areas. The results show that, (1) the Artificial Neural Network model reflect very well the complex non-linear relation in eco-security evaluation, and the results of Evaluation had high precision. (2) The overall system security state of the study area belongs to middle level; the ecological safety level of the study area was dominated by two types which were more secure status and warning status. The regional differences of ecological security level of study area were pronounced, the ecological security situation of northern part was better than that of the southern. The dominant factor of regional ecological safety was in serious warning state in part of the study area, and ecological damage to the environment is mining activities.
