Abstract
After describing the objectives of the audio engineering laboratory at Villanova University, the author discusses a major renovation carried out to support a multi-use laboratory program. Specific examples of uses are given, especially those affected since the renovation. Possible directions for future development are noted with the view that such a laboratory is better used in a spirit of innovation than as a fixed entity. The major good of the laboratory is the joining of multi-sensory experiences with interdisciplinary learning in a broad approach to audio engineering
