  • Abstract
    An improved high power auxiliary power supply system for electric railway rolling stock is proposed, in which a new two-phase buck-boost type GTO DC-DC converter and a six phase GTO DC-AC inverter are employed. This power system is developed to meet the requirements such as small size, light weight, high performance, high efficiency, low audible noise and so forth. The steady-state and dynamic characteristics of the proposed auxiliary power supply system are examined and its usefulness is confirmed
