  • Abstract
An overview is presented of a low-cost level III system (consisting of a computer-controlled videodisc player) for improving instructional delivery. This system provides the capability of superimposing computer and video displays and allows for transmitting the display to a room full of ordinary television monitors. Application software that allows easy preparation of video-enhanced lectures and videodisc-based interactive instructional materials is described. The level III system combines a one-megabyte, 32-bit computer (the Amiga 2000) with an industrial model videodisc player
