Abstract :
This report reviews the dramatic changes in format in the new 2003 edition of NEMA MW 1000. This reformatting has been accomplished to achieve two main goals, improvement in accuracy of the standard, and a substantial reduction in the physical bulk of its paper edition. This has allowed the inclusion of Appendix B listing all packaging requirements for magnet wire while still significantly reducing the overall number of pages in the standard.
