Abstract
Networked control systems have attracted more and more attention in recent years. In such systems, sensors, controller and actuators could be geographically separated, and are linked by digital communication networks. This paper investigates the effects of limited network bandwidth and possible feedback dropouts on the system´s stabilizability. Here we consider a system whose state cannot directly accessed and is perturbed by bounded noise. We show that the lack of direct state access does not hurt the required dropout condition and the lowest network bandwidth for BIBO stability. This statement is proved by constructing an Encoder/Decoder algorithm to stabilize the system with the quantized version of the estimated state.
