  • Abstract
    This paper designs a fiber optic liquid-level sensor is used to measure the level of oil tank, introduces design, development process of the sensor and use this sensor to do experiment to verify the correctness of theory of the sensor. This sensor consists of two section of the same fiber optical and elastic diaphragm. The sensor´s development uses the principle of coupling loss between optical fibers, by means of elastic deformation of elastic diaphragm to change the luminous flux in optical fiber which is pasted on the elastic diaphragm and realize the measurement of liquid-level. Studies have shown that the sensor has good sensitivity and single value relationship in a certain pressure rang. This system has simple structure and convenient installation.
