Abstract :
A unique approach to achieving single phase, high quality input rectification along with high bandwidth output regulation is presented. The technique makes use of a DC-to-DC power converter operating as a reactive current shunt across the output or an isolated power factor correction pre-regulator. Operation of such a power system is described, and experimental results of a 400 W, 36 V prototype are presented
