Abstract
In this paper, the authors introduce a method for using the impedance boundary condition to replace corrugated surfaces in numerical computations. Corrugated surfaces create challenging problems in numerical computations, since they are constructed of electrically very small grooves and thus require a very fine mesh to model, which leads to high computational costs. The proposed method treats the grooves of the corrugation as short-circuited wave-guides, for which it is possible to compute the impedance values analytically.
