  • Abstract
Healthy urban design aiming to implement ecological health and public health, is the important component of sustainable urbanization strategies. Heat island effect can impact both ecological and public health and this impact therefore became the focus of the healthy urban design. In this article, the authors summarized the key applications of remote sensing technology in the study on heat island formation and the dynamic monitor of public health and ecological health, and then suggested further promote the application of remote sensing technology in healthy urban design with China as an example.
