Abstract
This paper deals with the maintenance of the generator. Three primary tools such as monitoring, inspection, testing are used to assess the generator condition. Use of all available knowledge on a specific generator can minimize the maintenance costs required to maintain a high level of reliability on the generator. To accomplish this goal, good operation and maintenance records are important, as well as attention to all available monitoring information, performance of a high caliber inspection, and judicious use of a selected set of appropriate off-line tests.
