Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to introduce to the reader the well-publicized, but vaguely-understood concept of the fuel cell. At the present time, fuel cells are in research and are constantly being improved for better performance and application purposes. Not only will this paper introduce the concept of a fuel cell, but it will also look at the working of a basic fuel cell, different types of fuel cells, and different applications of fuel cells for today and tomorrow.
