Abstract :
The director fluctuations in cholesteric liquid crystals, representing anisotropic media with one-dimensional periodicity, are investigated. The cholesterics with large pitch are considered. For the analysis of the fluctuations spectrum the WKB method is applied. The solution near turn points where the WKB method is not valid is also considered. The results obtained are used for the construction of the director fluctuations correlation function
