Abstract :
The aim of this research is to develop a simulation tool able to accurately access the thermal and energy performance of buildings and HVAC systems. As a result, we focused on specific equipments and their regulation (for example fresh air intake modulation, cooling and heating coil regulation, etc.). We present afterwards the numerical model application for an office building in order to test its robustness. Further research is envisaged to add new components within the model and extend its energetic calculation for assessing total system energy use (HVAC equipments as well as boilers, chillers, pumps, fans, etc.).
