Abstract :
This paper describes the process of developing a method to report electric distribution field inspection data that is collected in various headquarters located in the NSP-Wisconsin service territory. The electric distribution inspection data include, field observations on equipment conditions, amp and voltage measurements taken from capacitors, recloser, and voltage regulators and other information taken by field personnel when inspecting distribution facilities. The electric distribution area covers approximately 20000 square miles in Western Wisconsin with a combination of urban and rural customers. The field inspection data is collected and entered in field or office computers. The data is stored in a central server and is available to all employees. Reports are created after the inspection data is collected The reports have information that can be used to improve the reliability and performance of the electric distribution. The benefits of this method of reporting information are that the data is available for all users, work that needs to be done is shown on the reports, and the information can be quickly reviewed using the computer instead of sorting through paper records. This paper shows how reports can be created using a database program and how the reports can be used to improve the electric distribution system
