Abstract :
In this paper, we evaluate the throughput for cooperative truncated hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ protocols with opportunistic relaying. Theoretical expressions of packet error rate and the throughput of truncated ARQ and hybrid ARQ I (HARQI) are derived. Results are valid for both amplify and forward (AF) and decode and forward (DF) over Rayleigh fading channel. In our analysis, we have used a simplified expression of the packet error rate. Numerical results are provided to assess the accuracy of the derived expressions.
