Abstract
The current distribution on an infinitely long, perfectly conducting, insulated cylinder driven by a slice voltage generator and immersed in a magnetoionic medium parallel to an external magnetic field is investigated. Conditions are revealed under which the presence of a thin dielectric sheath around the cylinder affects significantly the current distribution on the cylinder surface
