Abstract :
In this paper, we present a broadband bow-tie slot antenna coupled through an extended hemispherical lens to obtain high gain. The antenna is designed at 85 GHz by using 3-D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and 55% bandwidth is achieved for -10 dB return loss. Bow-tie slot antenna with tuning stub yields input impedance of 50 Omega, which benefits integration with microwave/millimeter wave (mmW) circuits. The directivity from the integrated lens antenna is 15 dB with HPBW of plusmn 15deg.
