Abstract

The increasing emphasis on supply chain management has changed the traditional procurement. At the same time, developments in information technology, in recent years, especially the ILM (information lifecycle management) theory, have enabled major advances in information management and electronic commerce. This kind of trend brings the e-procurement. In this paper, both the procurement based on supply chain management (P-SCM) and e-procurement is introduced, and a new type of procurement, e-supply management (ESM) based on ILM theory, will be given out. The benefits of ESM-ILM and the steps of realizing ESM-ILM will be analyzed.
