Abstract
A theoretical framework has been formulated for describing a self-organising open computational system with resources, free agents and pay-off mediated interactions. The theory allows a master equation for the evolution of the system to be written in which deterministic and stochastic components are clearly separable. The proposed pay-off interactions, based on biological controls, are used here to describe simple competitive scenarios
