  • Abstract
The conceptual graph model is a knowledge representation formalism. Taking this formalism as a basis, the authors proposed a modelisation of relational database notions (schemata, data, queries). The article is based on this modelisation. They propose to use a copy of the structure of a relational database (relation schemata, set of attribute names) represented by a conceptual graph knowledge base. This knowledge base allows a completion of SQL queries, when the user doesn´t know the names of the relation schemata or the names of the attributes. This approach takes advantage of the conceptual graph model through the use of the semantics of the concept type lattice. A first implementation has been realized
