Abstract :
In this paper, TM-pass polymer Mach-Zehnder modulators with self-aligned electrodes were fabricated using a poling-induced writing method in APC-CPW1. A single-arm, 3-cm long electrode device shows a Vπ of 3.5 V. Measured driving voltages at 1.55 μm show promising values, which could be further reduced by a push-pull electrode configuration.
