Abstract :
In this paper, a new and simple time domain method of analysis is presented for the analysis of rectangular and semi-circular PIFAs, and the initial results are encouraging. The single mode approximation of the formulation ends up with a simple equivalent circuit derivation. Such an equivalent circuit can be analyzed in any Spice-type package to determine the time and frequency domain characteristics of PIFAs in a computationally effective manner and with reasonable accuracy.
