Abstract
Recently, the schemes of time domain numerical analysis of electromagnetic (EM) fields have become investigated widely as a result of computer development. For example, these time domain analytical methods are very effective for estimation of pulsive EM fields created by electric discharges. This study examined the calculation accuracy of the EM field analysis using type C constrained interpolation profile (CIP) method. As an example of multi-dimensional analysis, the authors implement two-dimensional (2D) analyses for TE wave and evaluate the accuracy of this method. Comparison of results obtained using finite difference time domain (FDTD) analysis and CIP analysis is made for 2D EM fields. Through the comparison of the results, we report the accuracy of CIP EM fields analyses.
