Abstract :
In Japan, 53% of children, from 10 years old to 17 years old, are using mobile phones. Filtering technology and systems to protect children are progressing day by day, however, they are still liable to become victims of crime through community sites and 1,239 trouble cases were reported in 2010. It is strongly required to teach children how to treat and access information on a mobile phone. In this paper, we propose outline of a new tool for ethic education of mobile phone literacy, PNS (Pupils Network System), based on our survey at an elementary school in Tokyo for two years, and also describe results of simulation of this tool. The acceptance level of the tool by children was over 70%.
