Abstract :
Design and implementation of a simulation model for a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum System (FH-SS) is presented. This model is used to provide an efficient and fast simulation by utilizing a signal representation technique that enables a low sampling frequency compared to the one needed in the conventional method. The validity of the model was verified in a test system including time synchronization mechanisms (acquisition and tracking) and bit error rate measurements.
