Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an error concealment algorithm based on non-uniform Lagrange interpolation for H.264 standard. To increase the accuracy of error concealment algorithm we utilize the 4x4 pixel block interpolation mode supported by H.264 standard, each of 4x4 pixel block has several directional interpolation modes, total MV (Motion Vector) directional histogram of all candidate interpolation nodes is counted to select the most similar interpolation mode and node as the maximum value of directional histogram. Lagrange interpolation model is applied in this paper and simulation result expresses that distance between nodes which is select for interpolation is non-uniform. Experiment result show that this scheme can highly improve the quality of reconstructed video and obtain a gain of about 0.2~0.5dB in PSNR, compared with Lagrange interpolation in spatial field in the condition of packet loss rate with 15%.
