Abstract :
Modern market competitions have been transformed into those among different supply chains, which leads to that the traditional enterprise management information system (EMIS) has failed to meet the requirements of enterprise supply chain management (ESCM). In combination with the supply chain theory, this paper has analyzed the requirements of supply chain management to the information system by adopting the XML and Web technologies, and proposed to build a set of modern enterprise supply chain management information system (ESCMIS).
