Abstract
In this paper, a new method is presented for DOA estimation of a number of uncorrelated and coherent signals simultaneously impinging on the far field of a uniform linear array (ULA). In the proposed method, the uncorrelated sources are firstly estimated by MUSIC, and then they are eliminated by the spatial dirrerencing technique, finally, the coherent signals are estimated by using ESPRIT based on the spatial differencing matrix. Compare with the previous works, the proposed approach can improve DOA estimation accuracy, as well as increase the maximum number of detectable signals. The performances of some relevant algorithms are compared via simulations, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.
