Abstract
We have studied methods to embed information using a single dot pattern with the advantage of increased information capacity and visual quality. However, from a previous study, we found that it is difficult to extract information from A4-size documents because of the dot shift distortion caused by the printing and scanning processes. Therefore, this study aims to improve the extraction rate to enable extraction from all areas of the A4 document. In addition, the optical character recognition results are used to quantitatively evaluate the effect of data extraction and to improve the cutoff robustness of a foreground portion.
