Abstract :
In wireless sleep apnoea monitoring system, signal propagation paths may be affected by fading because of reflection, diffraction, energy absorption, shadowing by the body, patients mobility and the surrounding environment. MIMO has emerged as a significant technique to combat such fading and to provide enhanced channel capacity. The performance of MIMO depends on correlation coefficient and the lower correlation coefficient provides better performance. In this research, the patch antenna suitable for WBAN system has been designed and spatial diversity technique has been applied on various WBAN channels to measure the correlation coefficient.
