Abstract :
In this paper, it is shown that the single-input multi-output (SIMO) FIR second order Volterra channels can be blindly equalized using linear equalizer structure. The constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is adopted for adaptive blind equalization of the proposed equivalent linear channel. Further, treating the second order terms as noise the fractionally spaced CM algorithm (FS-CMA) is extended for direct adaptive blind equalization of SIMO FIR second order Volterra channels.Finally, the performance of CMA and FS-CMA are demonstrated through a simulation example.
