Abstract
There is a tremendous interest to use wireless networks as a replacement for its wired counterpart in the industrial applications. In this paper an instantaneous training of linear network is being investigated on a simulated wireless environment, in which the identification element or the identifier receives seemingly uninterrupted input/output observations from a system over a wireless link in order to obtain its model. Since wireless medium is unreliable there is a possibility of information packets being corrupted or delayed during the transmission, which affects the performance of the identifier. Thus in order to overcome this challenge there is a need to study the effects of the information losses on the modeling or identification process, where in this paper the instantaneous mode is being adopted in order to evaluate the performance of the identifier under such circumstances and highlighting the factors that may improve the performance.
