Abstract :
This paper describes a simplified architecture for the generation of either AM or PM sidebands applicable to the calibration of noise measurement systems. This low cost, wideband alternative, utilizes a PIN diode attenuator/limiter with dual biasing techniques to provide either sideband with 40 dB of PM-AM separation.
