During the project management, the project team is the dominant factor to accomplish the project successfully, but the EI (Emotional Intelligence) of project team is an invisible but important aspect to which leaders should attach great importance. This article introduces four important components of EI, pointing out the EI of project team has a great effect on the performance of the whole team, which is very important to the successful of whole project. Therefore, the project leaders should pay their attention to the EI of the whole project team at the same time when they improve their own. The project leaders ought to raise the level of EI of the whole team from various aspects, including helping the project team to build widely stronger self-awareness, better social awareness of self-management, helping to harmonize the relationship among the team members, having stronger social awareness and forming well atmosphere in the whole team to improve the working efficiency.
