  • Abstract
    This paper describes the application of a novel amplifier linearisation technique that reduces third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3). Linearity is improved by adding a carefully-engineered linearising signal to the RF carrier(s). Mathematical analysis, simulation and practical results are presented. Typical measured results with 4-tone input signals show a reduction in third-order intermodulation distortion components of between 9 dB and 26 dB.
