            Abstract : 
The target prediction of power loss rate in a radial distribution system is studied in this paper. Based on probability and statistical method, this paper proposes a calculation procedure to predict the target of power loss rate, only according to the energy supplied or the current of feeders in HV/MV substations and the configuration of a radial distribution network. The proposed method has been applied to a real scale radial distribution system in China. The calculation results show that the method is simple and effective to the target prediction of power loss rate in a radial distribution network
