Abstract
A graduate dual-level (senior/graduate) course on microcomputers is needed to provide a background for practicing engineers who did not have the opportunity to learn about microcomputers as undergraduates. The author has developed such a graduate microcomputer course, which was offered for the first time in the fall semester of 1988. It is almost identical to the existing sophomore core microcomputer course for all undergraduate engineering students at Purdue University. An outline of the course is given and the differences in content between the sophomore and graduate courses are discussed
