This paper aims to study the impact of network effects on the market structure of network industries. It starts from the concept of "network effects" and then extends to a simplified model of market structure and the empirical test of China\´s Internet industries. It draws the conclusion that the market structure of network industries with strong network effects tends to be more concentrated and monopolistic compared to industries without network effects.
