Abstract :
This paper describes the configuration and the performances of a family of solid state transmitters developed for civil, military and naval radar applications. The SST family is based on a total modular configuration which uses a 1.5 kW power amplifier as a building block of a series of transmitters with different RF output power levels (10 to 36 kW) at a duty of 10% and with a pulse width up to 150 /spl mu/sec.
