Abstract :
Push networks provide an efficient way of disseminating information from a central entity. The problem of broadcasting unpopular data items in a push-based wireless network downgrades performance, even when locality of demand is taken into consideration. This research confronts this problem by suggesting a method of discarding the broadcast of unpopular data items for predefined time intervals. Simulation results show that increase in performance is feasible according to the underlying network configuration.
