Abstract
The frequency offset in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system damages the orthogonality of OFDM sub carriers and cause intercarrier interference (ICI) which in turn quickly reduces the performance of the system. In this paper, the authors have proposed an efficient and new scheme for ICI cancellation that is an improved version of ICI self cancellation technique. Through a detailed analysis and simulation, it is shown that the performance of the proposed scheme gives better BER (Bit Error Rate) and CIR (Carrier to Interference Ratio) than the conventional self cancellation scheme.
