Abstract
Guided wave theory (GWT) is well-established. There are many canonical structures with mathematical exact solutions which are used in teaching as well as in model validation, data verification and code accreditation. This invited paper reviews guided wave theory and presents short Matlab scripts and interesting virtual propagation tools.
