Abstract :
This paper is based on the analysis of precession characteristics mathematical model of the conical target of ballistic missile. To cope with the conditions that the RCS of the target is fiercely fluctuating and is not good fitting by polynomial function. The paper put forward a method which based on rational cubic interpolation to match the RCS curve. Meanwhile, precession parameter of the conical target will be extracted through the RCS curve to get the ratio of inertias which is the key to distinguish the target. The simulation shows that under the severe change of the RCS or the range of the attitude angle we take is bigger, the higher accuracy will we get rather than the fitting of a polynomial.
