Abstract :
The method of synthesis of filters on transverse discontinuities in waveguides of complex cross-sections is described. As a basic filter model the model of catenation of reentrant cavities is used where each resonator presented by the part of regular transmission line between two equal transverse discontinuities. The band pass filters with quarter-wavelength links and direct coupling on thin metal diaphragms in two ridge and trough waveguides are synthesized by the described technique.
